The National Association of Black Veterans, Inc. Chapter #0094 was organized to foster the intellectual, economic, socio-cultural, collective good, and well being of veterans in Delaware. Since 1969, the National Association for Black Veterans, Inc. (NABVETS) has offered services such as:

  • Economic Assistance
  • Monuments that honors all veterans

Chapter #0094 also conducts fundraising campaigns. We hope that you can join our mission as a participant or event sponsor.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Tax ID: 90-1023708), your contributions are tax-deductible and letters of confirmation are mailed out to all donors in January of every year.

The National Association for Black Veterans, Inc. (NABVETS) is pleased to announce that Pulitzer Prize winner Melvin Claxton and the family of his late co-author Mark Puls have agreed to donate to NABVETS 100% of the 2016 royalties from the e-book version of “Uncommon Valor: A Story of Race, and Glory in the Final Battles of the Civil War.” In Uncommon Valor, Claxton and awarding-winning historian Mark Puls tell the story of African American farmers, laborers, and tradesmen who were willing to sacrifice their lives to end slavery, and win respect for their race at a time when much of America shunned them.

Claxton called the donation a small down payment on the great debt owed black soldiers who have risked all for the freedom of their fellow countrymen from the inception of America.

Delaware Chapter 94 is categorized as a Designation Write-in agency under requirements of United Way of Delaware. Pledges are received through annual campaigns. Donors wishing to designate contributions to Chapter 94 should “write-in” the organization’s name, mailing address and/or agency code number 12917 on the United Way Pledge form in the Give to Another 501(C)(3) Agency section.
